Is rapid city any good?

I was born in Rapid City and have lived her my entire life, my mom has also lived here most of her life. I personally really love Rapid City, in my opinion it has a smaller town vibe despite it not being very small anymore. I've traveled throughout the Midwest and the Black Hills are very unique. What makes the Black Hills unique is the landscape and climate. The Black Hills and Rapid City have a very specific small town feel. Despite not being a huge town rapid doesn't really miss out, we have touristy things, shopping and all sorts of restaurants.
The Black Hills have not only 'hills' but also the badlands. We also live in a very geologically interesting area. In the badlands there are fossils and we have an abundance of agates and other rock and mineral deposits. Rapid City also gets a fair share of all four seasons, none of which being too extreme. Our summers aren't too hot and the winter isn't too much. We also actually get the opportunity to experience real fall and spring seasons. We have a nice mix of most landscapes and a variety of weather throughout the year.
There are all sorts of opportunities for things to do in the hills, and have all sorts of things to do. In the hills there is hiking, lakes and caves. We are in an area with all sorts of surrounding towns that all have touristy things to do. We have no shortage of things to do, we have a nice climate and geological interest. I personally love living in this area and plan on going to a local college and living and working here.
The Black Hills is obviously a popular travel spot, we have so many places that cater specifically to tourists. We also have national parks and Mt. Rushmore, so I believe it tis a great place for people from larger places to visit.
